The human spine is an amazing mechanical structure, strong enough to support our body but flexible enough to allow us to move freely. The spine is made up of a number of structures such as joints, muscles, ligaments, discs and nerves. All of these structures work together in a complex fashion, and injury to one of these structures can be very painful and debilitating. The back and neck are common areas of injury, and around 85% of adults will experience back pain throughout their life. Around 90% of these people will have recurring problems therefore it is very important to correct the injury as soon as possible.
